2013 STRIVE Workday

The rain held off, the sun shone through upon occasion and much work was done. 22 senior homes were visited in the morning and then then flood ravaged homes of residents of our neighboring community of Lisle were served. The day ended with a BASH at McCollum Park where pizza, pasta, tacos, fried chicken and orange chicken were enjoyed. Followed by ice cream and cookies.

STRIVE 2012

The weather on Saturday, May 12th was anything but exciting, motivating or inspirational. Fortunately, the 60 students and adult volunteers that participated in the STRIVE workday embodied those characteristics as they set out to serve the community. The excitement was palpable as groups of eager students poured out into the community with the desire to give back.
