"Just Shutup Already!"

Picture yourself sitting down with a friend and just opening yourself up to them, sharing personal things about yourself, your past, about how you wish you had a better relationship with your parents and how you wished that people knew the real you…then picture yourself in the middle of your most personal thought looking up only to find your friend texting.

Open Mic Night

Last Monday the Warehouse was packed for Open Mic Night, as a highly talented line-up of ten students showcased their talents in music, drama and poetry.

Christmas Auction!

Most of us have never gone into the Christmas Season wondering if we were going to get any gifts this year. But unfortunately, due to their circumstances, there are many families who cannot afford to buy their kids presents every year or have a big Christmas meal.

3rd Annual Dodgeball Tournament

The 3rd Annual Campus Life Dodgeball Tournament saw its fiercest competition yet as 10 teams battled it out to be crowned this year’s champions.

"But Words Will Never Hurt Me..."

Last Monday, we talked about bullying, specifically the type that shows up through words, put downs and degrading comments masked as "jokes." Throughout the night a few things became clear:

1. Everyone has been verbally bullied at some point in their life.

2. Everyone has verbally bullied someone else at some point int their life.

Halloween Hunger Dash

Last Monday, Campus Life celebrated Halloween in a different way than usual. Rather than trick-or-treating for candy for ourselves, we trick-or-treated for canned goods to donate to a local pantry. In the end, students filled twelve large paper grocery bags with over 200 non-perishable food items! The food will be given to the Christian Life Center in Lisle to be distributed to families in need.

Parents Just Don't Understand...Or do they?

“Because I said so!”

Have you ever had your parents say that to you? Mine did and it always frustrated me so much! When I was growing up, I always thought that I understood everything (including more than my parents) and deserved an explanation for every decision my parents made.
