Strive

 

STRIVE is a one-day community service project and fund-raiser for students involved in Campus Life.

 

Teach high school & middle school students the value of community and service, demonstrate Campus Life’s commitment to our community and give students an ownership in supporting Campus Life.

 

Students receive montary support for their work prior to the event; students and leaders work for 8 hours in and around our community. All funds received directly support Downers Grove Campus Life and the hundreds of students who will participate in Campus Life in the coming year.

 

Sponsor a student with an hourly pledge for their 8-hour work day or give a set amount of $25, $50, $100 or more. Donate food for the work day celebration or prizes for student incentives.

FOR PARENTS
We need your help making your student successful at STRIVE. We have seen that the best way to gain support is though sending out letters. Your student will receive a packet with all the information they need to be successful at STRIVE. Please take a minute to read over it with them and discuss their plan of action. By simply asking 15 people for $25, students can raise $375 and get a chance to go on the lakehouse weekend trip.

Also, please, please join us in supporting our students at the workday bash at Hummer Park at 5 p.m. on May 9th. This is a great chance to show your support of your students and get a glimpse into all the hard work they performed throughout the day. All food is donated and free for participants and their families.

FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS
We at Campus Life love high school students and want to give them an opportunity to invest in making our community a better place to live. You can help the students reach their goal by supporting them financially, providing food donations, helping to underwrite the cost of the event, or connecting us with others interested in supporting STRIVE. It is our goal to serve our community tangibly while providing a safe place weekly for middle and high school students to discuss the deeper issues of life.
